Espace vivant de la Bonneterie

The Espace Vivant de la Bonneterie will be closed to the public on Thursday March 14, 2024 Nicknamed “Romilly the socks”, it was the real capital. You will be able to discover how the winding mills and shoemaking looms work. A team of volunteers will explain the different stages of manufacturing to you. Different spaces are dedicated to elastic knitting, the "Cachou" sock, to companies of yesterday and today, as well as the largest sock in the world, listed in the Guiness Book.
